Good ministers know how to locate that intersection between God's story and the human story. This is what Terry Austin does in this remarkable midlife, mid-career life story.
That pastors live too predictably to create interesting autobiography is a reservation that does not apply to Terry Austin. "Intermission" is lively, revelatory material. Terry's knack for anecdote, narrative, and confession is notable. You will find enough recognition here in his stories to give interpretation to stretches of your own life journey.
Get it, read it, recommend it. Give it to your pastor. Use it in small groups as a springboard for spiritual confession.
If this is "Intermission" for Terry, I can't wait until the Act II.
